Buyer brief · 239 words

The 2023 Tesla Model X Plaid (22-inch wheels) has 311 miles of EPA range and 250 kW fast charging, and 16 recalls on this make/year mean the seller has to show completed paperwork on the exact VIN.

Score read

A 64/100 makes this a records-first inspection. Battery-health score is 75/100, but owner feedback score is only 45/100. On Reddit, owners keep flagging the same two issues: build quality and owner satisfaction. Treat missing repair records as a price problem, not a footnote.

Is it a good deal?

Priced above the market High retained value — verify condition before paying up

Used examples are running around $71,700 against a $91,630 original sticker, about 78% of new. At that money you want cleaner-than-average service records, completed recall paperwork, and a recent battery report before you sign.

Who this is for

✓ Good for

  • Daily commuter ≤50 mi/day, predictable charging
  • Road tripper Long trips, needs DC fast network
  • Family hauler 3+ kids, cargo, towing

✗ Avoid if you are a

  • $
Bargain hunter Best TCO, reliability + low depreciation

Gotchas

  • Serviceable Recall paperwork has to match the exact VIN.

Mitigation Use NHTSA and the automaker lookup, then require repair records instead of a verbal promise.

  • Verify Owner feedback is the part to read carefully (45/100).

Mitigation Read the complaint themes and ask whether this VIN has already had those issues repaired.

Pre-purchase inspection

  • 1 Run the exact VIN through NHTSA and the automaker recall lookup before discussing price.
  • 2 Compare the dashboard range estimate with the EPA 311-mile rating after a full charge.
  • 3 Confirm how much of the 8-year/150,000-mile battery warranty remains and whether it transfers.
  • 4 If road trips matter, run a short DC fast-charge session and watch whether speed tapers normally.
  • 5 Read the complaint themes, not just the count, and ask the seller whether those issues have shown up on this VIN.

The Financing Room · What Actually Happens

Dealers make ~$16,628 on the average car loan.

After the price is set, the finance manager runs four plays to rebuild margin. Every buyer without a pre-approval is a target. Here's exactly what they run — and what stops each one.

On February 17 at approximately 9:30 AM, while my wife was driving uphill, the vehicle abruptly shut down and became completely disabled. It began rolling backward despite her attempting to accelerate. Multiple warning alerts activated simultaneously, and the vehicle would not respond to forward input. Our [XXX] child was in the vehicle at the time. A total loss of power while in motion, combined with unintended rollback on an incline, represents a catastrophic safety defect. This was not a minor malfunction — it created a direct and immediate risk of collision and serious injury. Compounding this concern, on the morning following the incident at approximately 6:00 AM, I discovered one of the vehicle doors open without any user interaction. The vehicle had been secured the night before. This raises serious questions regarding electronic reliability and system integrity. Given the severity of these failures, I have lost confidence in the safety and dependability of this vehicle. My family’s safety cannot be subjected to further uncertainty. If this matter is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I am prepared to pursue all available legal and regulatory remedies, including formal complaints to appropriate federal safety authorities. Please confirm receipt of this letter and provide a written response outlining next steps within five business days. This situation placed my wife and child in direct danger. I expect a resolution that reflects the seriousness of that fact. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2023 Tesla Model X suffers from severe, intermittent safety system failures. Specifically, the Automatic Emergency Braking and Steering Assist randomly become unavailable while driving. Tesla Service refuses to repair this, claiming they are "unable to replicate" the intermittent alerts. However, the vehicle's history proves severe safety flaws: Tesla previously had to replace the entire steering wheel assembly and the driver's seat belt lap pretensioner due to failures, and had to recalibrate the forward ADAS camera because it went out of spec causing Autopilot failures. These unresolved, randomly occurring defects pose a severe crash hazard that Tesla is ignoring.

All trailer hitches installed on Tesla Model X and Model Y vehicles do not meet the standards for towing in the US. These hitches are from Bosal, a European manufacturer, and there is no way to safely tow most trailers in the US including Home Depot, UHAUL, Airstream, boat trailers, etc. and meet the manufacturer safety specifications. Model X and Model Y owners on the road today are not following Tesla's manual and are using a tow ball adapter way outside the safety spec for the Tesla hitch. This poses a serious safety concern which could lead to failure of the hitch and the trailer detaching from the car while in motion. This poses as serious safety concern for the drivers, passengers, and everyone around the vehicle in tow. Please investigate this. I quick look at the Tesla manual specifications and the standard 18" height of trailers in the US makes it clear there is a serious issue here. Please investigate asap. I have contacted Tesla at least 10 times and nobody there is taking action on this issue.

On my 2023 Tesla Model X, the horn button is a capacitive touch button among several other buttons and it is difficult to use on a daily basis and impossible to find in an emergency. Yesterday, another car was drifting into my lane on the highway traveling at 70 MPH and I could not locate the horn in time to alert them. I had to drive evasively to avoid a serious accident. This has happened at least 7 separate times already. 2024 Tesla Model Xs now have the button in the center of the steering wheel where it is on every other car I have ever driven. Yesterday, I contacted Tesla service about this critical safety issue and demanded the replace my steering wheel with a center horn button because of the document safety issues. They refused. There needs to be a recall forcing Tesla to replace these defective steering wheels with the new and safe design before people get killed.

The horn is a button on the top right of the yoke steering. With a turning wheel the position is not stationary and in situations where it is warranted to warn other vehicle or person you keep looking for it and get distracted. I have had this vehicle for about three weeks and I find this as a serious safety issue. Today I contacted Tesla and it seems they have a new steering that come with manual horn in the middle but they would not replace it without charging $2000 for it or there is some defect like peeling on it. There are numerous online chats where people have got it replaced citing safety reason. In my view this should be under the recall especially when there is an option.

The steering wheel doesn't comes with a horn. Meaning on a regular car, when you need the just press the airbag but in Tesla there a tiny button needs to press in order to get the horn which is impossible to do in case of an emergency.

This is a serious safety concern regarding the full self driving auto pilot for this vehicle. While traveling on a clear day on [XXX] at around 1630 hrs on [XXX], with the full self driving auto pilot engaged, the vehicle on 2 separate occasions attempted to lane change across the center divide and into the opposite traffic lane; both time required immediate corrective action on my part. The horn doesn’t get activated when the center of the steering wheel is pressed. The horn button is on the right hand side on the wheel. It’s a safety hazard trying to find the button while driving especially in round abouts. In the place I live, there are couple of roundabouts; one car almost hit me since they didn’t yield to me when I was on the roundabout. I couldn’t find the horn button and had to hard brake.

The steering wheel design includes a small button to engage the horn rather than a common practice of having the horn engage on center press of the wheel. In practice, this has turned out to be a significant safety issue and cause of confusion due to its in ability to effectively find the button or safely reach the button during safety concerns especially when the wheel is rotated since its general proximity is never consistent. Additionally, it is very close to other buttons which has caused it to accidentally be pressed and create confusion and anger with other drivers on the road.

The 2023 Tesla Model X does not have a physical horn in the center, rather a small touch sensitive button located on the side on the steering wheel. The button does not even have any physical bump to make it easy to find without looking. This is a huge safety issue. When in near collision conditions requiring other drivers to be alerted to the vehicle's presence, there is no time to look down to press the button. It is not in an intuitive location and the location of the button changes as the wheel is turned making it even more difficult to find. Tesla has made it clear that this is an issue by changing the steering wheels on the 2024 plus models to include a physical center horn, however refuse to recall and replace the current steering wheels under warranty. On multiple occasions the horn could not be sounded in time or at all when other drivers move into the lane unsafely or need to be alerted to the vehicle's presence to avoid potential collisions. This is a serious safety issue that needs to be addressed. Thank you.

I took an exit form the highway on [XXX] towards Bothell. As Soon as I did and ended up coasting towards the first red light, all the warning signs came on on the car and my steering wheel locked up. And my braking also got reduced. Only thing that worked was the Acceleration pedal. I struggled to get the car towards any safety. There was a message on the dashboard saying that assisted steering is reduced will require more power. however it was locked. I tried with all my might to steer the car in any direction but it would not budge. I was super scared I was going to be in an accident. With the limited braking as well I had to find a curb in the road to be able to safely park the car or a slope where the car could slow to a halt. Luckily I was able to do that and slowed down. on a curb like area and then I was able to turn on the parking brake. On contacting support they told me to reset the car and in doing so it should bring back functions. However, it did not. This was extremely dangerous and I was very lucky to get out of this alive without harming anyone else as well. Had this happened on the highway I was a sure goner. The horn button on the steering wheel is extremely dangerous. It is too hard to find it with my thumb in time, and has almost caused me to get into multiple accidents. When others cannot see me while yielding to traffic, I tried to honk and because there was no center haptic horn, I had to slam on the breaks. The horn should be in the center of the steering wheel. It is extremely unsafe as a tiny button because you cannot find it in time during an urgent traffic incident.

Episode # 1: Sunday, [XXX] NEAR-DEATH-EXPERIENCE 2 times in 2 weeks while driving Tesla Model X 2023 with FSD. Both myself and wife were travelling and coming from Toronto to Lake George, NJ All of a sudden car STOPPED in the middle of the highway. Laptop screen was blank. In the mean time, turned on the Emergency Light. After a minute or so, white UTE came (white) color came behind us with in less than a minute came from behind but he was able to steer on the left, honked couple of times and drove. I started panicking and do not know what to do and kept on saying what happened, what happened,,.... and at the same time, my wife asked me to pull car aside quickly otherwise someone is coming from behind is going to hit and that is going to be the end of our life (die) in a crash. Somehow started pedalling gas, break and then noticed laptop screen lightning up and quickly put the car in Drive and pulled the car on the right hand side (extreme right) and no service lane. Pulled the car partially on road and partially on the road. Reached Lake George late evening and stayed in Sleep In & Suites, Queensbury, stayed over night, Monday and left Sleep In on on TUesday, [XXX]. I just drove couple of miles and was not feeling and was looking unstable and wife did not let me drive all the way from Lake George to New Jersey. As we parked our car at Quick Chek for a short break for few minutes. She noticed that instead reversing car from the car park and put car in Drive and immediately applied breaks and at that time she did not let me drive. As soon as we reached back and went straight to our son's house and as our son is a Dr., and when told him about the episode he took me straight to Jefferson's ER worrying that I may have small strokes. After messaging Tesla due to noise and vibration, they reviewed the videos sent and preliminarily diagnosed the issue a control arm problem. They then stated that instead of having it assessed to determine the extent of the problem, that it was ok to drive and to wait 39 days in order for the problem to be assessed. I attempted to call Tesla they continually put me on hold for extended times up to 1 hour long without speaking to anyone. They state the manager call but none has called to follow up. I do not feel like driving with control arm issues is safe without having the car formally assessed. It is unclear why Tesla is pushing back on this. Waiting 39 days for this is unacceptable.

The steering wheel horn is a small button on the side rather than on the middle of the steering wheel. Because of this, in an emergency where I was about to be hit in a T-bone vehicle accident, I tried to hit the horn to alert the other driver but was not successful in doing so. I find it dangerous to not have the horn available on the middle of the steering wheel, or at minimum a more easily accessible button.

Regarding the horn location on the steering wheel: When the steering wheel is not straight, it's difficult to locate the horn button without looking down. It isn't even a physical button. The driver has to use the finger tip to feel for it. In an emergency, there's no time for this. There have been numerous near-miss accidents due to the need to look down to find the horn button. It's purely luck that we haven't had a serious accident. The horn's position is both ridiculous and dangerous. Some Tesla owners have complained to the NHTSA about the horn's location. Tesla company told me that they couldn't change to horn button to the center where the airbag is just like the rest of the world. This is a matter of saving lives. They refuse to make any correction.

The horn placement on the steering wheel is on the side as a haptic touch button and not in the center of the steering wheel as an airbag horn switch, probably the only car and model with such button. It puts everyones safety at risk. If somebody is trying to make a bad merge into my lane and i have to honk in emergency, the hand by intuition goes to the center of steering wheel. Even if the hand goes to the side, because of emergency maneauver several buttons get pressed resulting in loss of precious time for me or the other driver to maneuver out of the lane, This happened with me today and i narrowly escaped the accident. This needs to be fixed ASAP before any bad thing happens with someone.

Description of the Problem: Component/System Failure: On [XXX], while using the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature of my Tesla Model X, the vehicle experienced severe phantom braking and unexpectedly veered off the road near Rio Vista, Antioch, CA. The failure appears to be related to the FSD system, braking, and steering. The vehicle is currently in Tesla’s possession and available for inspection upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) Safety Risk: The malfunction put my safety and the safety of others at significant risk. The sudden phantom braking and veering off the road could have caused a serious accident. Fortunately, there were no immediate external damages or injuries, but the incident highlighted a critical safety failure. Reproduction/Confirmation: The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by an independent service center. Tesla has had the vehicle for over three weeks, claiming to conduct a diagnostic check, but has not communicated any findings. Inspection: The vehicle has been inspected by Tesla, but no results have been shared. No inspections have been conducted by the police or insurance representatives as there was no collision or external damage. Warning Lamps/Messages: There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure. The incident occurred suddenly and without prior indication of a malfunction. Summary: The incident highlights a severe malfunction in the Full Self-Driving system of my Tesla Model X, posing significant safety risks. Tesla’s lack of communication and failure to provide a loaner vehicle during the extended diagnostic period is unacceptable. My Tesla vehicle is equipped with a yoke (instead of a steering wheel), and a small button for the horn on it. Last week while making a (legal) u-turn, another vehicle suddenly entered my lane. I tried to honk the horn to alert the driver, but given the awkward position of the yoke (in the middle of the u-turn) and off-center placement of the horn button, my hands could not find the horn button and I was unable to honk the horn in time. I came a few inches away from hitting the vehicle and sustaining thousands of dollars in damages. The placement of the horn button on the yoke is a serious safety issue, especially in such situations. I would like Tesla to replace it with a standard steering wheel with a horn in the middle.

In dense rush hour traffic at approximately 7:20pm EST [XXX], a bus started merging in my lane just on my side on [XXX]. The horn in the 2023 Tesla Model X is a tiny button located in proximity of the right hand scroll button on the wheel right spoke. It’s difficult to hit in an emergency and in attempt to signal the bus I probably hit the scroll wheel several times instead. Pressing the scroll wheel once activates the autopilot (“full self driving” in my case). The car shook and lurched likely due to the conflicting inputs of activating autopilot and braking (my guess) or for some other reason. The location of the horn as a tiny button on the steering wheel close to other buttons affecting the car steering response is extremely dangerous. I was driving in the slow lane of a 3-day (each direction street). On my right were cars parked on the street. A car in the 2nd lane was coming up and passing me and it decided (without signaling) to turn into my lane. Scared I tried to press the horn, but pressing the large padded center of the steering wheel is not the horn. Frantically, as the car kept moving into my car, I slammed my hand on the center of the steering wheel, but no sound. Finally I slammed on the brakes, not knowing if I would be hit by the car behind me. The stupid horn on the Tesla is just a small button in one corner of the steering wheel that moves around as the steering wheel is turned. This is an incredibly dangerous and mostly useless location for a car's horn. Please please require Tesla to provide a center-of-steering wheel horn and not some tiny, off-center, difficult-to-find-in-an-emergency horn button. I believe Tesla has recognized how dangerous this is and changed the steering wheel design on 2024 cars, but for all of the prior cars, this danger remains. Please require Tesla to fix this dangerous condition. Thank you.

I have driven this model x a few months now and there are many time I wasn’t able to put on turn signal and honk the horn due to design. The turn signal is activated by turn buttons in a very small area right next to each other. When needed, the button would cause a lot of confusion, for instance, if I want to put on left blinker I would accidentally put on right, it is especially true when trying to put on signal when the steering wheel is already turned, the only way to avoid false input is to physically looking at the turn signal buttons before put on the blinker, but it is very dangerous for you driving because you are taking your view from the road. Also the horn activation is also very dangerous, I have encountered some situation when the horn is required to gain attention from other drivers or even pedestrians, but when needed, I am either missed the horn button completely or would activated the windshield wipers instead due to its design. Just like turn signal I would have to take my eyes off the road to make sure the correct button was pushed. I think it is very dangerous. I hope there’s some recall available to retrofit traditional horn button in the center of the steering and a physical turn stalk. Thank you for reading this and I hope it’s a valid complaint and would result in some positive outcomes to make sure the safety of drivers and pedestrians.

The Model X steering wheel has a haptic horn button instead of the standard mechanical horn that every other car uses. This presents a huge safety issue because of the size and location of the haptic horn button and the fact that it's not a physical or mechanical button. On several occasions the horn has gone off unintentionally causing a road hazard and when an emergency situation arises, you must take your eyes off the road to look for the horn light. This puts my family and others drivers at extreme risk. Tesla appears to have acknowledged the problem because they have since switched back to a mechanical horn, however they refuse to replace our group of drivers horns under warranty. I am submitting this safety because I believe it is a danger to all drivers that the emergency horn is unable to be accessed when needed. Thank you

The horn's position on the steering wheel is not fixed, leading to instances where it fails to alert other vehicles or passengers in potentially dangerous situations. For example, there was one occasion where a vehicle approached from the opposite direction, necessitating the use of the horn, but I struggled to locate it as the steering wheel was turned at a 90-degree angle. Additionally, the horn button itself is quite small. The turn signal indicators have caused issues in multiple scenarios due to difficulty in locating the switch. This often occurs when needing to signal a quick left-right or right-left maneuver, especially when the steering wheel is already turned in the opposite direction

"First 10 months of owning a Tesla Model X in SoCal, by the numbers My "year 1" analysis won't happen until October, when I'll have 1 year of solid data from TeslaFi.com to analyze. However, this is 10 months of ownership, and before my annual job/gig starts where I'll be driving 300mi/week commuting to work. I'm curious how even more driving will change this data, if at all. For the record, I purchased and received my Tesla Model X 75D as new inventory vehicle from Maryland, received the vehicle on June 30, 2017. I used a friend's referral code, so I received a discount and free unlimited supercharging for life of vehicle. Service center repair/visits include: 1. Body shop/repair for passenger side FWD realignment, repaired in 3 days while I was out of town. 2. Passenger side FWD proximity sensor came loose, door frequently thought an obstruction was near the door, preventing it from opening without override. <1 day repair. 3. Uncorking, <1 day repair. 4. Annual service (12 month), I had damaged the passenger rear fender flair, Service Center in Burbank had the part in stock. Cost was $55, installation was free (took less than 15 minutes to remove old and install new). <1 day repair, but I needed to travel for work, so I took a Model S 100D loaner. Some data: I'm on SoCal Edison Time of Use "B" plan, so summer months (June - Sept), overnight charging costs $0.12/kWh. Rest of the year, overnight is $0.13/kWh. I didn't pull all the data or try to dive into costs of charging during summer vs charging rest of the year. Since the bulk of my data is October 2017 through August 2018, I'll price it closer to the non-summer pricing, $0.13/kWh. 3 of 10 months at $0.12/kWh, so let's say $0.127/kWh on my data. My use of the unlimited free supercharging since October 2017: 1394.36kWh, or $177.08 not charging at home. My charging at home: 5055.8kWh, or roughly $642.09, from October 2017 to August 2018. Since I bought my car, I've driven 18,286.17 miles in 13.5 months. I only have data from October 20, 2017, where my earliest Odometer reading was 13,471.88 miles. That brings the cost per mile of operation (not counting cost to own) down to $0.0477 per mile. No way to count how many miles using EAP, but it has made longer road trips much more enjoyable and easier. Total maintenance cost so far was $650 for the first "annual" 12 month service. Also, had to buy a rear wheel flair for $55, installation was gratis. Repair/maintenance costs in 10 months: $705. BMW X6 M is another 6000 GVWR vehicle, gas tank is 22.4 gallons, and gas economy is 14/19. So is the X5. 2019 Buick Enclave also, gas tank is 22 gallons, and gas economy is 17/25. Assuming a gas price of $3.10 (which is actually less than real world prices in LA), every fill up is $68.20. If doing all freeway driving in any of those 3 vehicles (a large assumption, keep it in mind when considering costs; driving these cars in traditional SoCal traffic, geography, and weather, will result in low"

"Tesla Model X P100D hauls over 2,000 lbs like a champ I was inspired by the positive feedback my last post got (from the road trip I did) and wanted to share this too... I just bought a camper but the X's hauling limitations are 5,000 lbs, so my options were limited. I decided to buy an A Liner LXE 2021 because it's relatively cheap ($20k) and has all the things two people (and two dogs) would need (including a shower and toilet) and it weighs a cool 1,900 lbs. (\~2,200 fully loaded with our stuff). I was super impressed with the Tesla's ability to haul it (without charging mid-trip), especially given the +/- 4k elevation gain between Boise (2,730′ elevation) and Stanley (6,253′ elevation). On the way back (128 mile trip), I used \~190 miles of my battery. In other words, I made it with 80 miles left on a 270 mile charge. Someone asked for more pics so here... Me driving the thing out of the dealership A Liner popped open The camping setup Inside!"

"You should add that was a charging video from 2 years ago!!! for the Model X. The new 150kw charging speed will drop that time more, then for the refresh, it will make it EVEN further once V3 comes on board or they are both on the same 350kw fast chargers. That would be a great "race to do" plan out a route where both can take advantage of the same fast chargers of 350kwh, then let them both race the same route but at the same max speed of 120km/h (or posted speed limit). The Model X would win every time."

"It’s really something I hate about the X when compared to my S. The X feels like it’s rough, poorly engineered and sadly uncomfortable. > BayAreaCelt said: > > It is poor, agree. I have an iX and it is light years ahead in terms of refinement. Different car, different use cases. Give me the Tesla drive train and software stack in the BMW and I would have the perfect car... but yep, its pretty poor in terms of perceived quality and NVH compared to any European air suspension set up > > > Click to expand... This is exactly what im trying to explain to fanboys. Tesla still cant build and paint quality cars consistently. We, as owners, need to speak up instead of kissing Elon Fraudster's ass. The thing is, bmw ix, i4 is still gen 1. what will happen to Tesla in 3-4 years once german learn more and more about EV. Fanboys can screenshot this and get back to me in 3-4 years. "Have been on vacation and won't been able to look into what else I can do for a couple more weeks but if there is no solution the MXP will most likely be gone soon. If that happens I will definitely miss the drive train though, and other things software related. I love the no button get in and go, or the stop, remove seat belt and leave the car! Or the cabin overheat protection, GPS based suspension raising etc. etc. I have a rental while on vacation and I keep forgetting that I need to press a button to stop the engine! Also, our local service center is great - much better that local German car dealerships. But cannot keep driving a car that makes me tired/tingly/numb commuting and running errands everyday. "Why is the navigation system in the Tesla such a POS? I am visiting an area and through pure luck of having arranged a ride share, my ride that I get to take twice a day is a Tesla model X Signature. I will admit I knew very little about these cars other than gawking at them online and glancing over their specs, but getting to ride in one a lot I am a huge fanboy now, sadly out of my financial reach though, but something to aim for, it is an amazing vehicle and I have to say the gull wings have spoiled me for anything else. However as much as I am wowed by the giant flat panel in the dash, I am extremely unimpressed and dissapointed by how just incredibly terrible the navigation system is. Google maps on my iPhone is far superior, what gives? This is an extremely expensive, luxury car designed by Musk and a team of people that I would assume would want nothing but perfection in such a vehicle. It is extremely slow, when it draws the Navigation route you can actually see it draw, if you go off route, it takes a long time to catch up, redraw and reroute. If you do the pinch and zoom or expand it is very temperamental, does not respond quickly and takes a long time to redraw, especially when zoomed in. There are almost no navigation details to help guide you, unlike on my phone I get names of all the shops and things around me, I get 3D buildings, I get all kinds of very useful, little things that I don't even have to select as extras or layers in google maps to help guide me. When you type in an address, it has no idea where you are and might first suggest a place with a similar name in a different state or not give you the closest of two locations. It never has remembered any of our past locations even though we are going to the same place every day we have to type in the entire address, it never comes up as a history. Even though the driver of the car is logged in. Granted I know nothing about the cars systems but I figure since I see the drivers name at the top of the flat panel and it has recognised her key, that must mean it should be able to remember her driving history, no? Seems logical. One of the things I really find useless is that we have a longish trip everyday, thus the navigation route on the screen is long, but as we drive it and get into town where there is lots of buildings and turns, the map does not zoom in, it stays zoomed out showing this long route and the giant arrow for the car just wiggling around where all the turns are at. You have to manually zoom in to see the route up close. A driver should not have to do that. Every GPS I have every seen, gives the driver the forward view, turn by turn directions, so the GPS looks like the windshield as if you were driving or you can switch to the overhead view and see the whole route. I could go on and on with problems it has, but in short, it's a very poor system and the driver is constantly frustrated by it. The Tesla us supposed to be all about safety, but thi"

"Oct 15, 201918193Bay AreaListings You know the answer... my response was to buy the Plaid X for the missus and personally waft in a bmw iX. That goes further, and in most cases better. Not as quick of course. But better to drive and to be in. > BayAreaCelt said: > > You know the answer... my response was to buy the Plaid X for the missus and personally waft in a bmw iX. Jan 15, 20202,7354,186SoCal All these panel gap complaints remind me of Corvette forums complaining of the same things. Earlier Vettes had panel gaps, both inside and out. People still loved those cars. Many turned out to be amazing investments. Tesla encourages test drives prior to purchasing. Pretty easy to see if the suspension is acceptable prior to ordering."
