Gotchas

  • Serviceable Recall paperwork has to match the exact VIN.

Mitigation Use NHTSA and the automaker lookup, then require repair records instead of a verbal promise.

  • Built in Range is the easy place to overbuy this trim (37/100).

Mitigation Check your commute, winter margin, and fast-charge plan before you assume the EPA number fits your use.

Pre-purchase inspection

  • 1 Run the exact VIN through NHTSA and the automaker recall lookup before discussing price.
  • 2 Compare the dashboard range estimate with the EPA 273-mile rating after a full charge.
  • 3 Confirm how much of the 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty remains and whether it transfers.
  • 4 If road trips matter, run a short DC fast-charge session and watch whether speed tapers normally.
  • 5 Map your normal highway route and winter margin against the EPA range before you treat it as a road-trip car.

Back Over Prevention — Software
Campaign #26V112000

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 Acura ZDX and Prologue vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. Additionally, a software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."

An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Shortly after purchase, I observed damaged/torn underhood insulation and reported the condition to the selling dealership, with concern that the vehicle should be inspected for related issues. Prior to a crash incident, I experienced concerns involving braking-related behavior and advanced driver assistance features, including lane assist and object/collision warning functions. During the crash, while reacting to a roadway hazard, the vehicle swerved and struck a pole, and I did not experience warning or intervention from driver assistance features as expected. Following the incident, a diagnostic pre-scan identified multiple faults involving brake control, radar sensors, image processing, and communication systems. Since the incident, similar concerns have continued, including recurring braking/driver assistance concerns, and the issues remain unresolved. I am submitting this complaint due to concern that braking and advanced driver assistance systems may not have functioned as intended and may present an ongoing safety risk.

On 04/15/2026, at approximately 13,130 miles, my 2024 Honda Prologue began making a loud, repetitive clicking, popping, and clunking noise from the front axle area. This mechanical noise is highly pronounced when turning sharply at low speeds, such as pulling out of a parking space or turning at an intersection. I took the vehicle to Delta Honda in Antioch, CA on 04/16/2026. They acknowledged the noise but refused to replace the part, citing Honda's guidance that this issue does not impact normal driving. I am filing this complaint because this is a severe safety defect. The CV joint is a critical drivetrain component, and these symptoms are classic indicators of premature mechanical failure. I am highly concerned that the CV axle could fail catastrophically while driving at higher speeds or in traffic. A structural failure of this component could result in a sudden loss of motive power, wheel lock-up, or a total loss of steering control, putting myself, my passengers, and other motorists at imminent risk of a crash. Honda's failure to provide a permanent, safe remedy for this widespread and known defect is unacceptable.

On April 5, 2026, I was stopped at a busy intersection waiting to turn left. When I proceeded through the light, the car's sensor suddenly went off and the car braked violently. I thought I had hit something in the road. (I was driving in one pedal mode). There was nothing in the road, and I had not collided with anything. The car just decided to brake because it incorrectly sensed something in my way. I was almost rear ended, and it was very frightening. My safety was at risk as well as the person behind me. I have an appointment with the service department at the dealership to address it. This car has been in for service 5 times in the 18 months I have leased it. I have complained to the dealer multiple times, and they have basically ignored me.

The CV axles on my vehicle are making a loud, rhythmic clicking noise, especially when accelerating or turning. This issue has become progressively worse and is now occurring during most driving maneuvers. My primary safety concern is a catastrophic mechanical failure where the axle could break or seize while the vehicle is in motion, leading to a sudden loss of power to the wheels or a potential loss of steering control. This poses a significant risk of a crash on the road.

Direct cause - Unknown. What I do know however was that the automatic emergency break system on my vehicle was activated, causing the vehicle to stop in the middle of driving. This resulted in the vehicle behind me hitting my car. Prior to the incident occurring, no warning indicators (lamps, messages, etc.) came from the dashboard. The vehicle just stopped. Immediately after this accident occurred. I turned off the forward collision safety feature, as I was scared of the issue (vehicle stopping) repeating itself. To date, my vehicle has not been repaired or my insurance agency contacted, as I do not believe I should be held responsible for the cost of this repair.

When turning left or right, the vehicle produces a distinct clicking sound from the front drivetrain or steering area. This issue was first noticed on January 22, 2025 and has continued to occur since that time. I have reported the problem to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, the concern is no longer being documented on my service receipts despite my attempts to have it addressed. The persistent clicking noise raises concern about a possible defect involving the axle, CV joint, steering components, or the electric drivetrain system. If a related component were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in loss of propulsion, steering impairment, or sudden mechanical failure during a turn, increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership has indicated that the manufacturer is aware of the issue but has not yet provided a repair remedy or guidance to the service center, leaving the vehicle operating with a potentially unresolved mechanical defect.

On multiple occasions the alert for either the forward or rear collision warning system will sound with nothing either in front of or behind the vehicle. In these cases, the car automatically braked and brought the car to a stop in the middle of my driving. The component is not available for inspection. This puts myself and others at risk by completely overriding my ability to control the vehicle until I am able to put the car back in gear and begin moving again. It completely immobilizes the car for several seconds. It is also a safety hazard because I have been forced to turn off the automatic braking for both the front and rear collision warning systems. Three major problems stand out: faulty CV joints/axles that produce loud clicking or knocking noises when turning, false activations of the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, which I had to turn off, and high-voltage system failures that can disable charging or limit performance. Other concerning issues include steering malfunctions, infotainment system blackouts, USB-C not connecting, battery not charging to 300mi range, forward collision sensor false activation, and braking anomalies.

Forward collision warning either does not work at all or is too sensitive. When demonstrated for the dealership, the warning went off while in park for a potted plant more than 10 ft away, then did not go off again no matter how close the Prologue was moved towards an object nor what speed we were moving, until it suddenly went off as we approached a cross street, alerting to a car that was almost through the intersection before we approached it. The dealership did confirm that the system did not work on the Prologue. Then they shrugged and said that Honda had not issued a fix for the problem. This is a safety issue because it is part of the safety system and it does not work.

My 2024 Honda Prologue has numerous issues. First, the CV joints are making the clattering noises when turning right from a stop. Started at almost 8000 miles, more faintly, but now very noticeable. I noticed the left has now started making the same noises as well at 9000 miles on the odometer. Soon after purchase, the automatic braking/collision avoidance slammed on my brakes HARD while driving at highway speeds. Nothing was present in front of me, early morning and no cars around or I probably would have been rear ended for sure. I disabled the auto braking but the “BRAKE” alert comes on almost daily, with nothing there. Backing up did the same so I disabled it as well. Lastly, every time I use my turn signal to turn right and I bring the wheel back to center, it cancels out as it should but it then turns the left signal on for 3 blinks. Assuming the stalk is to strong or weak and goes back just far enough to indicate like I am going to turn or enter left. This can surly cause confusion to other drivers. The dealer stated Honda is aware of the CV noise but has no remedy at this time. For the other issues, they needed me to leave my car but had no loaner available. I will have to return there at another time as the loaners are “first come first served”.

While driving my 2024 Honda Prologue, the automatic emergency braking system (part of Honda's Collision Mitigation Braking System) has activated unexpectedly and forcefully multiple times — with no obstacle or vehicle ahead. The most serious incident occurred on 6/28/2024, while traveling at approximately 70 mph. The vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes without warning or any visible threat in the road. We did not crash, but the vehicle behind us narrowly avoided rear-ending us. This also happens about 50% of the time we reverse the vehicle. Given the potential severity of this defect — especially involving passenger injuries and potential crashes — I am deeply concerned. Many other Honda owners have reported similar phantom braking behavior across multiple models, and I believe this defect needs to be investigated urgently by NHTSA. Honda has not issued a recall or provided public guidance on how to disable or address the system, leaving drivers at risk.

During my experience with the 2024 Honda Prologue, I have encountered several significant issues related to the vehicle's starter system. Notably, while reversing, the car intermittently engages the brakes as if it detects an obstacle behind it. Additionally, while driving, the vehicle occasionally applies the brakes unexpectedly, presuming that a collision is imminent. Furthermore, I observed a rapid decline in battery power, accompanied by error messages on the dashboard indicating "Service Soon" and "Service High Voltage System.” After consulting with a service center, I was informed that no issues were detected with the vehicle. However, I am presently receiving persistent error notifications stating "Service High Voltage System" and "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care." In addition, the air conditioning system has ceased to function, and I have been unable to charge the vehicle effectively. Each attempt to charge concludes with the message indicating that charging is complete, yet the battery remains at a static level of 91%. These issues present serious concerns regarding vehicle safety. The unpredictability of the braking system could potentially lead to an accident, while a sudden failure of the battery during travel could leave me stranded, endangering myself and others. These examples represent just a portion of the various complications I have experienced, highlighting a significant safety risk associated with this vehicle.

As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Around 500 miles into my lease the CV Balljoint is making a creaking noise. Now the noise extends to both front cv joints and the clicking or knocking sound is all the time, every turn now. Spoke to dealer and they said this is a known issue and they are working on it but nothing so far. In addition, the emergency braking system is too sensitive. On a small bump the car emergency braking kicked in and slammed on the brakes for no apparent reason. This happened over 14 times in the first 3 months. Eventually, I had to turn off my collision braking. Several times I thought the car tires exploded. Dangerous as I do not have control of brakes, steering, etc... everytime this happens.

While sitting idle at a traffic light, my forward collision notification beeped in spite of my Honda Prologue and the vehicle in front of me being completely still. Otherwise, no movement was taking place in front of my car. I captured this on camera during an incident when this occurred briefly. I would be happy for Honda to inspect this. I haven’t reported this to anyone else at this point. No other warning lights or messages indicated this could be a problem. This failure of my forward collision warning system has occurred about 50 times since purchasing this Prologue in late December of last year (over about 7,500 miles). At times, the beeping won’t stop unless I put the car in park. I learned the locations of the sensors behind the rear-view mirror and on the bumper. I cleaned the outer surfaces off to no effect.

Anti-Braking System (ABS): The Anti-Braking System (ABS) malfunctioned, causing the car to unexpectedly slam on the brakes multiple times while backing up. This issue is likely related to a failure in the ABS sensors or control module. The component is available for inspection and was reported to the dealer. Transmission (Shifting into Neutral): The transmission failed by unexpectedly shifting into neutral while driving, preventing acceleration. This issue is likely related to a malfunction in the transmission control module (TCM) or related sensors. This component is available for inspection and was reported to the dealer. Anti-Braking System (ABS): This malfunction posed a significant safety risk. The car unexpectedly slamming on the brakes while backing out of the driveway onto the road causes a sudden stop, potentially leading to a collision with other vehicles as it takes several attempts of hitting the brakes or turning the emergency brake off to get the car to continue reversing out of the driveway. Transmission (Shifting into Neutral): This issue is extremely dangerous, especially on busy roads. When the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral, I was unable to accelerate, which could have resulted in a dangerous situation if it had occurred on a highway or in heavy traffic, putting my family’s safety at risk. Both problems have been reported and inspected by the dealership but they were unable to reproduce the issues. I was told the auto braking system is performing as expected and is in the user manual and cannot be turned off which does not seem right. I have never driven a vehicle that cannot back out of a driveway without interruption. The Auto Braking System does display a message of "Rear Cross Traffic Auto Braking" when the brakes are initiated.

I’ve had a couple of issues with this vehicle along with others I know with the same car. 1. When charging it has said a couple of times “not sending power” when public charger seems to be in good condition & there being funds on the card. 2. When closing the panoramic sunroof right when it’s about to close it opens back up. It takes me multiple tries pressing and holding down the button to get it to close. 3. Both screen displays have gone completely black out of nowhere and will not turn back on until a couple of hours later. 4. Sometimes in perfect Sunny condition with nothing blocking the windshield the Forward collision Safety feature will appear on the dashboard saying “forward collision system unavailable.” 5. The battery seems to not last long and even going at speed limit or slower the battery will still drain fast.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The emergency break system abruptly activates. It has happened on reverse and going forward. One of the times it happened while on reverse it was raining so I thought that was the issue but it has happened on other occasions too. While going forward it happens when I am in fact getting close to a car however there is no risk of a crash and the system over reacts. Instead of allowing me to break on my own smoothly it goes to a complete stop unexpectedly. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The sudden breaking hurts my neck and back, and that of my passengers. It also puts my car at risk of getting rearended by the car behind me due to the sudden and complete stop. Ignoring the crying children that get scared by the sudden stop and think there has been an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. I emailed the sales rep this morning to complain but no response yet. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.

I have had my prologue for about two months now and have noticed that I receive a warning about reduced acceleration "randomly." I say “randomly” because I’ve observed that it appears during two specific situations. I get that warning whenever I’m low (less than 20%), so this is not random as it seems consistent. The other time this occurs is when I am driving or just starting my car (the battery percentage doesn’t matter, as it happens when it’s between 30% and 80%. Also, it happens when the temperature is below and above freezing). However, the latter situation occurs randomly and seems to happen more frequently while driving, though it also occurs when I am just starting the car. On top of that, the Forward Collision Warning system is extremely sensitive and has caused the car to brake hard unnecessarily on me with and without Adaptive Cruise Control enabled. Sometimes it even warns me of something that isn't even there.

As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Backing out of my driveway I can expect that 25-50% of the time the car will slam on the brakes for no reason and apply the parking brake, which I then have to disengage manually to continue backing out. More recently, I was driving 30 mph on a city street with no one in front of me when without warning the Prologue slammed to a complete stop. Fortunately no one was behind me or I almost certainly would have been rear-ended. After four months of owning the Prologue, and seeing this exact problem reported over and over again, it's evident the entire electronics system is glitchy at best and downright dangerous at worst. Everything from the crash-avoidance cameras (regularly issues messages that they're blocked when they're obviously not) to the remote starter (supposed to come on with two quick presses of a button on the fob, but often takes a dozen or more to actually activate) is borderline non-functional. Whether this is a software or a hardware problem, or some combination thereof, there's no question in my mind that sooner or later, as more of these vehicles are on the road, one of these malfunctions is going to cause a crash. I hope the NHTSA will see enough of a quorum of similar complaints to investigate before that happens. For my part, I've turned off all driver assist systems in my Prologue, which is the only way I can be assured the car will only brake when it should. Additionally, again as many others have reported, my Prologue knocks somewhere in the vicinity of the front axle whenever I corner sharply enough in either direction.

On several occasions while in reverse the car braked hard and violently for no reason. This caused a sudden jolt to me and the passengers endangering our safety. Also, this condition can cause an accident if I’m trying to back up to avoid a collision and the emergency braking system does not allow me to do such. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone else and no warning lamps messages or other symptoms of the problem appeared prior to the incidents. This condition first occurred with about 300 miles on the vehicle.

When the vehicle is in reverse, the safety feature that is supposed to prevent you from hitting something mistakenly goes off when there is nothing there. It seizes the car and immediately causes the brakes to go off. The car will feel like it got in a crash. There is no way to un-release it and there is no way to change the settings to prevent it. It is a great safety feature that could really protect me from getting into a crash. But instead at least once or twice a week it simply prevents me from backing out of my driveway in the morning to go to work. Delaying me by 1-2 minutes every day. Very annoying.

Component/System Failure: The issue involves a clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left or right. Based on my observations, I suspect that the noise is coming from the axle, particularly one of the CV joints. The clicking noise is noticeable at low and moderate speeds, and it occurs consistently every time I turn the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the issue is indeed related to a malfunctioning CV joint, this could potentially pose a significant safety risk. If the CV joint were to fracture or break while driving, it could result in a loss of control of the vehicle, leading to an accident. While the noise itself is not an immediate hazard, the possibility of a sudden failure of the axle or CV joint is concerning, as it could impair my ability to control the vehicle and could potentially cause a serious crash. Reproduction/Confirmation by Dealer or Service Center: The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent service center. However, the clicking noise can be reproduced consistently every time I turn the car, whether turning left or right. Given the regularity of the noise, I believe this issue is likely to continue and should be addressed. Inspection by Manufacturer, Police, Insurance, or Others: At this time, the issue has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Since the noise has only recently started and has been persistent, I have not yet taken the car to the dealership for an inspection, but I intend to do so soon. Warning Lamps or Messages: There have been no warning lamps, messages, or alerts shown on the dashboard related to this issue. The vehicle continues to function normally aside from the clicking noise when turning. No other symptoms or mechanical issues have been noticed. When It First Appeared: The clicking noise first appeared around 1000 miles ago. As of now, the vehicle has accumulated approximately 5000 miles.

The automatic emergency braking (AEB) system or collision avoidance feature in my 2024 Honda Prologue has malfunctioned. The car abruptly applies the brakes when backing out of my driveway, and also engages when driving forward and getting too close to other vehicles or when changing lanes, even when there’s sufficient space. The braking is sudden and forceful, making it difficult to control the vehicle. This issue poses a serious safety risk, as the car’s automatic braking can cause me to be rear-ended by vehicles behind me when stopping unexpectedly. The system may also cause a collision when changing lanes, as the sudden deceleration could lead to a crash. The problem occurs consistently, and can be reproduced each time I back out of the driveway, approach a vehicle too closely, or change lanes. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, dealer, or insurance, and I have not yet brought it in for service. I am filing this report to document the issue as a potential safety concern. There are no warning lights or messages on the dashboard when the issue occurs. The braking happens without any prior indication from the vehicle, and I only notice after the fact that the system has engaged. This problem began right from the start, within the first 50 miles of driving the car. As of now, the car has about 5000 miles on it, and the issue continues intermittently.

On multiple occasions the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking have engaged when there is nothing in the lane. On one occasion, the system engaged brakes very hard - which I can only assume was triggered by a pedestrian on a nearby sidewalk. I was traveling 30mph and the vehicle came to an abrubt stop. Traffic behind me was then also forced to slam on their brakes and I feel this could have easily lead to a collision if the driver behind had not been attentive. On another case the vehicle engaged brakes while traveling at 60mph on a two lane highway. I was traveling straight, approaching a rightward bend in the road. My steering wheel was still straight ahead because I had not yet reached the turn. Meanwhile a vehicle was coming the opposite direction around the bend. I believe the system engaged because I was steering straight toward the other vehicle - not taking into account the fact that my lane would bend before reaching it. In this case the system did not stop the vehicle but it did cause a rapid change from 60mph to 40mph in a section of road with no obstructions where neither myself nor drivers around me would expect my vehicle to slam on the brakes. Had the surface been slick such a maneuver could cause loss of control. Again - had drivers behind me not been attentive - I could have been rear ended.

The Propulsion System Error warning light (a red car icon with an exclamation point) has appeared multiple times since I purchased the vehicle. This has occurred while driving, charging, or turning on the vehicle, with no apparent cause or trigger that I can identify. I have made several attempts to have the issue resolved by Honda, but they repeatedly provide excuses, such as the unavailability of an EV technician or the lack of proper equipment to update the car's computer software. During the most recent occurrence, I was driving when the error light came on, and I experienced reduced acceleration—something I don’t recall happening before. This presents a significant safety concern for me and others on the road. A sudden reduction in speed increases the risk of being rear-ended by an inattentive driver, or worse, becoming stranded in the middle of a travel lane. Honda has inspected the vehicle previously and documented the error codes and they have just cleared the codes or updated the software on the car. No additional symptoms were present leading up to the issue. This ongoing problem needs urgent attention to make sure the safety and reliability of the vehicle.

I got the high voltage battery warning error on my dashboard after one random night of charging. The error doesn’t go away after 3 days and at times, the vehicle could not charge. I contacted my salesman and he suggested a hard reset which involved turning off the car and keeping the car fobs at least 20ft away, which worked. However I’m still concerned there is an issue with the battery. The memory seat setting doesn’t connect to the profiles. It randomly picks between 1 and 2 whenever the car turns on. Guest profiles can’t have their name saved unless their Google account is connected. The speaker rattles when volume is higher than 20%. There’s a knocking/clicking sound whenever I steer left or right. I called the dealership on 1/22/25 but was told it is not an issue. The vehicle has about 800mi on it. Front and rear collision warning sensors are too sensitive. The default settings for both are “alert and brake” which had led to random braking when backing out of a parking spot AND random braking when I was driving on the road. Luckily no accidents occurred and I have turned both to alerts only.

The automatic emergency braking system that works with the rear cross traffic warning is not functioning correctly. It is available for inspection upon request. Safety issue 1 Automatic collision breaking is too sensitive when going in reverse. The vehicle locked up the brakes several times when I was trying to reverse causing myself and my family‘s heads to snap back suddenly. Safety issue 2 -knocking sound coming from the CV joint when backing up and turning at the same time. This usually happens when it’s cold outside. This is a safety issue because if the CV joint fails, this could cause loss of control of the vehicle while driving.

an incident involving the collision warning system of a car resulted in the car abruptly braking without any apparent immediate danger or obstacle in front of the vehicle. The system activated the automatic emergency braking feature in response to a perceived threat that did not exist. This phenomenon is known as “phantom braking,” where the vehicle’s sensors misinterpret the surrounding environment, leading to an unnecessary and sometimes forceful deceleration. The abrupt braking action startled the me, creating a situation of potential confusion and concern. Fortunately, no collision occurred, but this incident highlights a serious safety risk associated with phantom braking events.

The warning system is over-sensitive. Front Collision Warning - The forward collision warning randomly comes on while driving. Once, I was coming to a stop and at least two car lengths away when the system alerted me. Another time, I was driving down the road, and no one was in front of me when the system came on. This is a safety issue to both the driver, passengers, and others on the road because if the car thinks it's too close when it's not, it could violently and abruptly stop, thus causing other vehicles around the driver to crash, too! Rear Cross Traffic Warning - When backing up, the system violently stops the car and throws it into park mode, and there is nothing behind the vehicle. It will do it three times if you try to put it in reverse after being violently stopped. This happens all the time. One time I was in a parking lot with no one around and this happened 3 times before I could safely back up and then drive. The current mitigation is to turn the Rear Cross Traffic Warning off. This is a safety issue because being stopped so violently and abruptly could cause neck and back injuries. This is also a safety issue for others because I have to turn the system off, and there could be an unfortunate accident the system is meant to prevent.

When I reverse, from leaving home at our garage, multiple times the car will apply the brakes. It thinks there is something or someone behind me and applies the brakes to avoid hitting something. I ended up turning off the rear braking setting. I was also cruising along on the highway at 70MPH when the car turned off the the system. It shocked me because I wasn't expecting the gas pedal to be let up. It seemed like the car thought there was another car in front of me even though there were no cars for at least 3/4 mile. It turned off the front collision system. The sensors seem sensitive even though I cleaned the sensor/radar on the front windshield, the front camera, rear camera and the side door cameras.

"My 3.1 miles per kWh average is because I only have 700 miles on it and do numerous short trips. Sometimes we sit a lot waiting to pick someone up as well. So, the 1 to 2 miles per kWh at idle with AC and radio, and sometimes headlights running as well brings down the rating. I'm still very happy because my home charging is super-efficient, giving substantial savings vs. gasoline. I'm sure it will eventually go up, when we start using it for longer trips. I never see using the Prologue for a long road trip, as my Expedition Platinum is way more comfortable and much safer. And fuel isn't too bad at close to 28mpg highway."

"Faulty Screens I’ve owned my Honda Prologue for about a year now, and honestly my experience hasn’t been great. Range has been one of my biggest issues. I live in the Northeast, and the battery performance drops significantly in the winter. I was also under the impression that the advertised 272 miles meant consistent real-world range, which unfortunately hasn’t been the case for me. On top of that, both of my CV axles are clicking and appear to be defective, but the dealership won’t repair them yet because Honda hasn’t provided a fix. There’s also a noticeable humming noise coming from the vehicle. Today, when I got into the car, my infotainment screen was completely black, and my driver display only showed the battery percentage like the screen you see when approaching the vehicle. I couldn’t even see my speed, which makes the car feel unsafe to drive. To make matters worse, my dealership only has one technician who can work on the vehicle, and they’re requiring me to pay out of pocket for a rental while they look into it. At this point, I genuinely regret choosing the Prologue and wish I had gone with the CR-V instead. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues or has had better luck getting them resolved."
